Hospitality

General Manager

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring a GENERAL MANAGER.

Objective: The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all personnel, facilities, service standards, financials, and administrative tasks of the day-to-day operations of ARKHAUS Miami.

We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and has a strong sense of hospitality. Hands-on management experience is a must along with a strong attention to detail. Experience in financial management is also a must.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete ARKHAUS Crew including key personnel & managers, the culinary team including the Executive Chef, and all hourly staff.
  • Ensure standards for product quality and service are maintained at all times.

  • Develop new hire training programs and schedules to ensure new staff is prepared before going live.

  • Ensure that ARKHAUS is at or above company standards in terms of cleanliness; report any Facilities repairs to upper management and engineers as needed.
  • Possess the ability to read, understand, and create/present reports on weekly financials and monthly P&Ls.

Restaurant Manager

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring a RESTAURANT MANAGER.

Objective: The Restaurant Manager will work with the General Manager to ensure that ARKHAUS is providing exceptional service to ARKHAUS members and their guests.

We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and has a strong sense of hospitality. Hands-on management experience is a must along with a strong attention to detail.

  • Opening and closing duties and needed.
  • Supervise all activities on the floor to ensure performance expectations are being met.

Objective: The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, logistics, cooking, and presentation.

Experience operating a “scratch kitchen” is a plus as well as familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

Dishwasher

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring DISHWASHERS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of all food service utensils, plateware, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc.
  • Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty items.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house areas and restrooms.
  • Able to do additional cleaning duties specific to the front of house areas of ARKHAUS.
  • Check garbage for restaurant supplies.
  • Empty garbage as necessary.
  • Return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed.
  • Read a thermometer, maintain dishwashing machinery, and identify potential problem areas.
  • Identify cleaning supplies and their specific uses. Notify Management when supplies are running low and must be replaced.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for the entire duration of shift.

Maritime & Safety

Captain

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring a CAPTAIN.

*While ARKHAUS will not launch until Spring 2024, we are hosting pre-launch events leading up to opening. There may be opportunity for hires to work on specified event days prior to launch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safely piloting the ARKHAUS vessels.
  • Perform thorough pre-cruise preparations and safety equipment checks every morning before departing the dock.
  • Ensure adherence to Coast Guard rules and regulations, along with federal and local rules and regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of safety programs in accordance with Coast Guard regulations and established ARKHAUS policies.
  • Participate in proper maintenance of all ship’s systems and boarding facilities including but not limited to gangways, diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, water (potable, raw, black, and gray), fire suppression, communications, and navigation.
  • Ensure strict compliance to Emergency Response Plan.
  • Execute other projects as assigned by management.
  • Develop positive working relationships with city department heads and peers.
  • Resolve guest problems in conjunction with the on-duty Manager utilizing strong guest service skills and exercising effective communication skills in keeping with company objectives.
  • Complete all shift records: checklist, logbook, and documentation of safety training.
  • Ensure that incident reports are completed promptly and accurately.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings.
  • Secure the vessels dockside.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must currently possess 100-ton license with a satisfactory record.
  • Minimum five (5) years of marine experience — preferably including two (2) years as a captain with an outstanding record.
  • Detailed working knowledge of all ship’s systems and their proper maintenance and operations.
  • Must be able to operate vessel in accordance with all Coast Guard rules and procedures.
  • Vessel handling and navigation knowledge required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
  • Effectively deal with internal and external guests; some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • US Coast Guard License upon Near Coastal Waters with an Assistance Towing Endorsement. STCW.
  • A current Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the TSA.
  • A pre-employment drug test is required. Thereafter, you will be enrolled in a random drug testing program as required by the USCG.
  • Per USCG regulations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Tender Coordinator (Host)

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring TENDER COORDINATORS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grett onboarding members and guests onto tender boats.
  • Confirm reservation times for members and guests arriving to board ARKHAUS.
  • Maintain a strict schedule to ensure tender boats leave marina on time.
  • Possess a warm and friendly personality.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Promote and enforce ARKHAUS safety policies and procedures.

  • Communicate with Management or Security of any issues.
  • Train new employees as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Certifications.
  • Primarily unsupervised work, which requires alert, responsible, and mature lifeguards.

Security Officer (Unarmed)

ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating private membership club is hiring unarmed SECURITY OFFICERS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Permit authorized persons to board ARKHAUS and monitor entrances and exits.
  • Perform security patrols of all vessels.
  • Stand or walk constantly (up to an entire shift).
  • Watch for unusual or irregular conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Maintain familiarity if all emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities and assist as needed.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as smoking.
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be proficient in the installation and maintenance of all audio/visual equipment as well as IT equipment.
  • Monitor sound and lighting levels to ensure a quality guest experience.
  • Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate advanced operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment and software issues.
  • Anticipate equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other minor maintenance and repairs and/or conduct preventative maintenance duties on all equipment as needed.
